Buena Park officers said a man in his late 20s or early 30s called 911 saying he and a friend got into a fight and asked police to check on that friend.
Responding officers found the friend dead in the 5900 block of Marshall Avenue. Authorities described the victim as being in his 50s.
Officers are trying to locate that caller to question him about what happened.
