Authorities were responding to reports of a man displaying a handgun inside a residence on the 500 block of Hill Street and E Street.
Police said that an unknown amount of people were inside the home; Oxnard SWAT and negotiators were deployed to the scene.
Police took the suspect in custody. No shots were fired and no one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
