Sinise plans to ask the council for permission to stage a benefit concert on March 1 in honor of Cpl. Juan Dominguez, a triple amputee who lost both legs and his right arm in Afghanistan in 2010.
If approved, the concert by Sinise's Lt. Dan Band would help raise money to build a "specially-equipped" home for Dominguez, who has already endured 23 surgeries.
Sinise played the role of a soldier who lost his legs in the film "Forrest Gump." He currently stars in TV's "CSI New York."
