The Hollywood Reporter published a story saying the academy let the Kodak Theatre know it won't automatically renew its Oscar deal after 2013.
The publication also stated that AEG, which operates the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, is said to be interested in becoming the new venue.
In a statement sent to Eyewitness News Thursday, the Academy said that there have been no venue negotiations for the Oscar telecast beyond 2013.
The 84th Academy Awards is set to air Feb. 26 on ABC7.
