Authorities responded to a report of a family disturbance in the 2100 block of Lupin Street at about 4:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found a woman in her 30s dead inside the house.
Neighbors said they heard a commotion.
"Her oldest daughter had walked in and saw her [mother] dead, so she came out screaming," said neighbor Sierra Minor.
The victim has not yet been identified. Police arrested Jose Monteroso, a man considered a person of interest. He was in a car near the home.
Family friends said Monteroso is the dead woman's husband. They said he lived with the victim and her two children from a different relationship.
Authorities did not reveal how the woman died. The case remains under investigation.
