Fugitive Connecticut rocker captured in Laguna Niguel on sex-assault charges

TUSTIN, Calif.

Connecticut State Police contacted the Tustin Police Department's Special Investigations Team on Feb. 1 for help in tracking down John McNally, believed to be residing in Tustin.

McNally was charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and injury upon a minor, according to police.

McNally became a fugitive while touring the U.S. in a band called Johnny Vibrato (his alias) and the Razorbacks. Police tracked McNally to Texas but he evaded capture there.

McNally was traced to a location on the 27000 block of Camino Capistrano in Laguna Niguel. Tustin Police and the Orange County Sheriff's Department personnel surrounded the location Saturday night at 11:30. He was ordered out of the location and was arrested without incident, according to police.

McNally was booked at the Orange County Jail on a fugitive warrant from Connecticut.
