The quad, as it's known, was taken during a break-in at the Storm Stadium last Tuesday.
A Riverside County sheriff's helicopter spotted the quad in a rugged area near Akley Street on Saturday night. Earlier in the day, deputies tried to stop someone driving a quad nearby, but the driver sped off and disappeared.
The thieves remain at large. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Lake Elsinore Police Department at (951) 245-3300.
