Study: Vitamin A lowers risk of melanoma

LOS ANGELES

According to a new, six-year study just published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, vitamin A reduces your risk of getting a deadly form of skin cancer.

Researchers found that people taking vitamin A supplements were 60 percent less likely to develop melanoma. The reduced risk was stronger in women than men.

Vitamin A is naturally found in foods like sweet potatoes, carrots, spinach, eggs and milk.
