Oxnard sexual assault reported on Saviers Rd.

OXNARD, Calif.

A 25-year-old woman called Oxnard Police at 5:20 a.m. to report a man broke into her residence on the 1400 block of Saviers Road and sexually assaulted her.

The woman told police the suspect entered the residence through an unlocked ground-floor window while she was asleep. She said she woke to find the man in her bedroom. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, but it was too dark to discern features.

The suspect fled on foot when the victim screamed. He ran north on Saviers Rd. The suspect was not armed, according to the victim, who said she did not know the man.

Responding officers did not locate the suspect.
