Virginia Ramirez of Pacoima was crossing the street at about 6 a.m. Saturday at an unmarked crosswalk when the driver hit her.
Police say the driver got out of his vehicle, looked at the victim lying in the street, and then drove away without helping her. Witnesses describe the car as possibly a red Nissan Frontier.
A second car, possibly a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo, hit Ramirez and also drove away.
