Palmdale-area toddler saved by LA deputies

Paramedics rush a 15-month-old toddler to the hospital after the child was found not breathing near a pool outside a home in Littlerock, Calif. near Palmdale.

Two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies are being called heroes for saving a toddler's life.

The deputies raced to a home in the community of Littlerock, near Palmdale, after the family of a 15-month-old boy called 911.

His older brother found the boy face down in the grass near a swimming pool. The child wasn't breathing.

Two deputies were driving by when the call came in and they sped to the house.

They gave the boy CPR until paramedics arrived. The deputies then used their lights and sirens to help rush the child to the hospital.
