May 23, 2012 12:00:00 AM PDT
An investigation is under way in Hermosa Beach after several women had their iPhones snatched right from their hands.

The first attack took place Saturday just before 2 a.m. in the 1800 block of Hermosa Avenue. Three women were walking home from the Pier Avenue promenade when two men approached them and grabbed phones from two of the women.

In addition to the phones, Hermosa police said the suspects also grabbed a purse from one of the women before taking off. Officials said one of the women suffered an injury to her arm.

The victims described the suspects as black men between 20 and 30 years old, wearing hooded jackets and dark pants.

Two days later, a woman walking along the 500 block of Pier Avenue had her iPhone stolen. The women were not attacked by the same suspects.

If you have any information about these incidents, you're urged to contact Detective Mick Gaglia with the Hermosa Police Department at (310) 318-0348.
