3rd ex-Cudahy official reaches plea deal in corruption probe

CUDAHY, Calif.

Osvaldo Conde was arrested last month and charged with scheming to approve a medical marijuana dispensary in exchange for money. He, who resigned from city council last Friday, agreed to plead guilty to bribery and extortion charges.

Cudahy's former Mayor David Silva and one-time City Manager Angel Perales have already agreed to the same deal. All three defendants face maximum sentences of 30 years in federal prison.

All three are set to be arraigned on Thursday in federal court.
