Fountain Valley police arrested Donald Roy Shipley on Wednesday for crimes they said happened in 2008 and 2009. Police said Shipley was sharing a home with a woman and a 10-year-old girl when he committed lewd acts against the little girl. He is also accused of raping the girl's 10-year-old friend.
Police said they initially investigated Shipley for possession of child pornography. He is accused of being in possession of over a dozen pornographic images of young girls between 10 and 13 years old. Many of the photos appeared to be taken in his home.
Shipley is being held on $1 million bail. He could face 40 years in prison if he is convicted.
