Ronald Reagan Capitol statue approved by California Senate

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

Three years ago, a statue of the late president was unveiled in the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol. Now, state lawmakers of both parties are backing a bill to place a Reagan statue in Sacramento.

Supporters point out that he is the only California governor to become president. AB2358 passed the Senate 31-0. It returns to the Assembly for final vote.
