Police said the victim, a 27-year-old man, was buying food from the truck at Huntington Drive and Van Horn Avenue just after 10 p.m. when he got into an argument with another man.
The suspect left, but returned and shot the victim several times before driving off.
The man who was shot died at the hospital.
Investigators are still trying to determine whether the shooting was gang related.
