Police shoot at man in South Los Angeles laundromat

SOUTH LOS ANGELES

The incident happened shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday in the laundromat at 43rd Street and Vermont Avenue.

Los Angeles police said a couple got in an argument, and that's when the man reportedly pointed a gun at the woman.

Police rushed to the scene and saw the man holding a firearm, at which time an officer-involved shooting occurred, according to LAPD officer Nuria Vanegas.

The man, who was not injured, was taken into custody on unspecificed charges. His name was not immediately released.

No officers were hurt.
