LOS ANGELES --
Honda is recalling 318,000 Odyssey minivans and 56,000 Acura MDX SUVs in the U.S. because of an airbag defect. The automaker says it received complaints that the airbag opened unnecessarily in the 2003 and 2004 model year Odyssey and the 2003 Acura MDX because of electrical interference with the computer chip for airbag deployment.
A part called an electrical noise filter needs to be installed to prevent the problem, Honda said.
There have been no crashes related to the problem.
