Reward offered in Torrance post office burglary

A suspect was caught on surveillance camera breaking into the North Torrance post office building located at 18080 Crenshaw Boulevard between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on October 24.

The North Torrance post office was burglarized early Thursday morning, the U.S. Postal Service said. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects.

A suspect was caught on surveillance camera breaking into the building located at 18080 Crenshaw Boulevard between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on October 24.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his mid to late 40s, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds with a large build, wearing a light-colored T-shirt. He had dark hair and a mustache.

Postal inspectors urge anyone who noticed suspicious activity around Post Offices in that area, including loitering or vandalism, to call Postal Inspectors, who are on duty 24/7.
