The incident occurred at the intersection of Olympic and Sawtelle boulevards around 3 p.m. Both officers were transported to a local hospital.
No one in the SUV was injured.
Westbound Olympic Boulevard and both directions of Sawtelle Boulevard were shortly closed following the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
