Lancaster man wounded in deputy-involved shooting

LANCASTER, Calif.

Deputies responded to several 911 calls regarding shots fired around 4:15 p.m. in the 43200 block of 16th Street West in Lancaster.

Upon arrival, the unidentified man shot at the deputies. He was hit one time by return gunfire and taken to a local hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.

No deputies were hurt during the incident.

Sheriff's investigators believe the man was involved in a domestic dispute and allegedly opened fire during the fight. No one was hit or injured during that clash. The suspect's firearm was recovered at the scene.
