Hollywood sign security heightened for holidays

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Officials are beefing up security around the Hollywood sign for the holidays.

Visitors to the iconic landmark can expect to see more police and traffic officers.

Officials say there's no imminent threat to the sign. They added that they simply want to make sure everyone, including residents who live in the area, feels safe.
