Northbound I-405 carpool lane from Wilshire to the Valley to open Friday morning

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Good news for anyone who drives the 405 Freeway on the Westside into the Valley: The carpool lane on the northbound side will open Friday, ahead of schedule.

Friday morning the carpool lane from Wilshire Boulevard to the 101 Freeway will be open. That will complete the carpool lanes on the 405 from Orange County through Los Angeles County.

MTA Spokesman Dave Sotero said there is still construction work to be completed through the Sepulveda Pass, but the carpool lane would be open Friday morning.
