Jericho Tran
After over five years on the East Coast, Emmy Award-winning journalist Jericho Tran joined the ABC7 Eyewitness News team in July 2026.

Before coming to Los Angeles, Tran spent three years at NBC in Boston as a nightside reporter, covering major breaking news across New England. Her reporting included speaking with survivors of the 2023 Lewiston mass shooting in Maine, interviewing Karen Read following her acquittal, and traveling with the Boston Celtics throughout their 2024 championship run. She also reported from Washington, D.C., in the days leading up to the 2024 Presidential Election as businesses and residents prepared for the results.

Prior to Boston, Tran worked at News 12 in New York City, where she reported extensively on stories affecting local communities and filled in as the morning anchor. Her coverage included the rise of subway surfing, the city's migrant and asylum-seeker crisis, and President Donald Trump's 2023 arraignment in Manhattan. In 2022, Tran won her first Emmy for News 12's live special coverage of a line-of-duty funeral.

Tran began her on-air reporting career at BronxNet during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and attended Brooklyn College in New York.

When she's not reporting, Tran enjoys exploring new places with her dog, Charlie Booboo.
