Tim Caputo
Tim Caputo is a general assignment reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News. He joined the ABC7 team in March 2024 following 14 years of reporting and anchoring in Boston.

Prior to joining KABC-TV, Tim anchored evening newscasts at WBTS and NECN in Boston, earning an Emmy award for anchoring coverage of the New Hampshire presidential primary. Tim also reported for a decade at WHDH, covering thousands of stories from the Boston Marathon bombing to Aaron Hernandez's arrest and trials, to great white shark research off the coast of Cape Cod, which earned him a Murrow award.

Tim also reported at WSOC in Charlotte, North Carolina, and at KRQE/KBIM in Albuquerque and Roswell, New Mexico. Tim is a proud alumnus of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, graduating the lone year the Orangemen won the National Championship.

Tim was born and raised in New York, and despite being a long-suffering Mets fan, he still enjoys baseball and is on a quest to visit every MLB ballpark. When he's not reporting, you can find Tim and his wife Natalie, a native Angeleno, exploring hiking trails and restaurants up and down the coast of Southern California.
