HOLLYWOOD (KABC) -- Academy Award-winning actor Christoph Waltz received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday.
Quentin Tarantino, who directed Waltz in "Inglourious Basterds" and "Django Unchained," attended the ceremony as a guest speaker. Waltz earned Oscars for each of his roles in the films.
Waltz's star was unveiled in front of Musso & Frank Grill on the 6600 block of Hollywood Boulevard. It is the 2,536th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Waltz's recent film credits include "Horrible Bosses 2," which is now in theaters, and the upcoming movie "Big Eyes," directed by Tim Burton.
"My heart is not just a little bit throbbing with pride, it is bursting," Waltz said.
Born Oct. 4, 1956, in Vienna, Waltz studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. He began his career as a stage actor in Switzerland and Austria, then went on to appear in many European film, television and stage productions.
Waltz's other English-language film credits include "The Green Hornet," "Water for Elephants," "The Three Musketeers," "Carnage" and "The Zero Theorem." He recently completed filming for "Tarzan," set to be released July 1, 2016.
