Former Disney star Adam Hicks, girlfriend charged for alleged robberies in Burbank

BURBANK, Calif. (KABC) -- Former Disney star Adam Hicks and his girlfriend have been charged for allegedly carrying out a series of armed robberies across Burbank.

Hicks, 25, who appeared in court Friday, and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Danni Tamburo, were charged with robbing or attempting to rob a total of five victims, two of them women, ages 71 and 73, prosecutors said.

Police allege Hicks and Tamburo carried out four robberies within minutes of each other on Wednesday. Authorities tracked the couple back to their home in Burbank, where investigators found stolen property and a gun.

Hicks is being held on $550,000 bail. Tamburo was released on bail before Friday's court appearance. Both are due back in court Feb. 16.

If convicted as charged, Hicks faces a possible maximum sentence of more than 60 years in state prison and Tamburo faces more than 15 years in prison, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Hicks starred in several Disney Channel shows like "Lemonade Mouth" and "Zeke and Luther." Tamburo was identified as the driver of the suspect vehicle during the robberies.
