"Investigators aren't sure if his intent is to assault the victim or possibly get her into the vehicle with him, but at this time, it's been strictly verbal contact between the suspect and the victims," said Cindy Beavers, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Dept.
The incidents all occurred near Carnelian St. and Base Line Rd., a very busy area, in the early morning and late afternoon. Alta Loma High School is in the area.
This warning by authorities is very unusual.
"It's quite possible that the suspect could change his methods and his behavior. He might get disappointed that nobody comes over to the vehicle to get closer to him, and he may become physical with them at some point," said Beavers.
A partial California license plate reading "4SJ," followed by four unknown characters, is attached to the man's 1990s-model four-door beige or gold compact car.
