Voters to decide Beverly Hills project

BEVERLY HILLS The Beverly Hills City Council voted 5-0 Tuesday night to place the proposal on the November ballot.

The project includes a Waldorf-Astoria hotel and two condominium buildings.

Opponents say the project would increase traffic and cause parking problems.

Supporters say if it's defeated, the city would lose tax revenue, prompting cutbacks to schools, police and fire departments.
