Kick off holidays at L.A. skating rink

LOS ANGELES, Calif. Located in Pershing Square in the heart of downtown L.A., this event is one of the few times a year where you'll actually see ice in California.

People from all walks of life and all age brackets strap on skates and glide around the rink, imagining they're in a more wintry climate.

Holiday decorations, LIVE musical performances and free youth hockey clinics make this the must-do family activity for the season.

Admission: $6; Skate Rental: $2.
