L.A. officials push hail-a-taxi program

LOS ANGELES Elected officials, business leaders and taxi drivers want people to know that they can use taxis anytime and anywhere in Los Angeles, especially during the busy holiday season.

The campaign hopes to ultimately integrate a new culture of hailing taxis in Los Angeles. It comes about five months after the city started allowing taxi drivers to stop in no-parking zones.
