Officer Sanders leaves behind three children and a wife who is expecting another child.
Three Chili's Grill & Bar restaurants will host "Joe Sanders Night," on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Ten percent of the food proceeds sold that night will be donated to the Sanders Family. The Chili's restaurants are in Puente Hills, Chino Hills and Whittier.
Officer Sanders, 29, was hit by a car and killed as he directed traffic at the scene of a previous accident on the eastbound 60 Freeway early Monday morning.
