Lingering cold symptoms may be sinusitis

Sinusitis occurs when cold or allergy-related inflammation blocks sinus cavities.

Doctors say people with allergies are more likely to develop sinusitis, and if not treated correctly it can last for months or even years.

Doctors often prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection, and decongestants to help with a stuffy nose.
