Woman's resting heart rate may show risk

In a new study, U.S. researchers looked at more than 129,000 postmenopausal women with no history of heart problems.

They found that those with the highest resting heart rate were 26 percent more likely to have a heart attack or die from cardiovascular disease than those with the lowest rates.

The study is published in the British Medical Journal.
