Secondhand smoke could cause dementia

New research suggests it might increase your risk for dementia by as much as 44 percent.

Other studies have shown a link between smoking and Alzheimer's disease, but this British Medical Journal study is the largest review to date to look at cognitive function and passive smoke.

While authors recommend that people quit smoking -- they also advise avoiding exposure to secondhand smoke, too.
