Driver rescued from tumbling down cliff

POINT MUGU, Calif. Crews rescued the driver of truck that drove off a cliff about 11 a.m. near /*Pacific Coast Highway*/ and Deer Creek.

The roadside barrier apparently kept the vehicle from tumbling several hundred feet into the crashing surf below.

The driver had to be airlifted to a local hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries.
