Sketch released of home invasion suspect

May 26, 2009 6:50:49 AM PDT
Huntington Beach police have released a sketch of the man they believe is responsible for a home invasion robbery last week.Investigators say the armed man entered a home near the corner of 8th Street and Walnut Avenue just after noon last Wednesday. The suspect tied up a woman who was alone inside the house, and stole cash and jewelry.

During the robbery, neighbors heard the woman call for help.

"Yelling out the bathroom window, she said she was tied up and there was a man in the house with a gun and to call 911," said neighbor Gary Manoli.

By the time police arrived, the robber was gone.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 25 and 28 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a thin build and curly, collar-length blond hair. He was wearing a dark colored baseball cap, sunglasses and dark colored work out gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Huntington Beach Police Department at (714) 375-5066.
