Officer-involved shooting in El Monte

EL MONTE, Calif. /*Baldwin Park police*/ stopped a car in the 11200 block of Mildred Street. Police say the driver then took off on foot, running between two homes.

Police shot at the suspect, hitting him several times. The man died at the scene.

No officers were injured.

/*Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives*/ are helping Baldwin Park police in the investigation.
