Gun, badge stolen from deputy's car

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. Investigators say the off-duty deputy returned to his car about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to find it unlocked. He noticed the gun, badge and several other personal items were missing.

The car was parked in a lot at 12th Street and Morningside Drive in the city of Manhattan Beach.
