Thousand Oaks fire: 100 percent contained
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. The fire broke out just before noon in a brushy area between Thousand Oaks and Lake Sherwood.
Ventura County firefighters were on it very quickly with water dropping planes, helicopters and 300 firefighters.
The fire is 100 percent contained, with full control expected Monday night.
The blaze burned 56 acres and no homes were damaged.
