Patients are asked to first check with their health care providers about the vaccine before heading to a county clinic.
The county will give children ages 2 to 12 first priority for the nasal vaccine. So far, 81 children have died from illnesses related to the H1N1 virus, which is about how many die in a typical flu season.
L.A. County will begin offering the vaccine on October 23.
