Deputy hospitalized after 2 car crash

SAN GABRIEL, Calif. The crash happened at San Gabriel Boulevard and Chestnut Avenue. Investigators said a minivan collided with the deputy's cruiser.

The deputy was taken to a local hospital and is in serious but stable condition. His name has not been released.

No information has been released on the condition of the other driver or whether charges will be filed. San Gabriel police are handling the investigation.
