The 8-inch municipal water pipe burst just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday and sent a large torrent of water flowing onto the street, fracturing the pavement in several areas.
Firefighters used sandbags to redirect the flow away from homes.
There was some minor flooding and mud on patios, but no major damage.
It was at least the third break this weekend alone.
