Nicole Richie confirms engagement to Madden

NEW YORK The 28-year-old Richie told /*David Letterman*/ that she and the 30-year-old front man of Good Charlotte are recently engaged.

The couple have a 2-year-old daughter, Harlow Winter Kate, and a 5-year-old son, Sparrow Midnight.

Richie gained prominence co-starring with /*Paris Hilton*/ on TV's "The Simple Life." She has a shoe and accessory line, House of Harlow, and recently debuted a new clothing line, Winter Kate.
