Thousand Oaks driver collides head-on w/ tree

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. Authorities responded to the accident on Lynn Road between Greenmeadow Avenue and the 101 Freeway at 10:23 a.m. Kevin Guest, a 27-year-old resident of North Hollywood, was driving his Ford Taurus northbound on Lynn Road approaching the 101 Freeway when he drifted to the right and collided into the east curb.

Guest's car then veered to the left and went back across all of the northbound lanes. The Taurus then collided head-on into a tree on the center median.

The driver was taken to Columbia Los Robles Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. His condition is unknown.

Police said the use of drugs is suspected as the cause of the accident, but the investigation is ongoing.
