Language Monitor releases 2010's top words

The Global Language Monitor has announced its top words and phrases for 2010.Coming in near the top of the list was a true "buzz-word."

Vuvuzela came in at No 2 on the list. The brightly-colored and loud horns were all the rage at the World Cup in South Africa.

Topping the list was "spillcam" referencing the underwater cameras monitoring the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Also making the list: "refudiate," a mix of the words refute and repudiate that was unofficially coined by Sarah Palin.

Deficit, the great recession and tea party also made the list.
