A San Diego-area woman accused of scratching and pinching children in her neighborhood changed her plea to guilty in court Thursday.Lisa Hench, 45, is a prominent La Jolla real estate agent.

She scratched eight babies at different locations over a four-month period, the victims ranging from 3 months to 18 months in age.

She first pretended to play with them.

"She had the skin completely torn off of the middle toe on her foot along with five other deep scratches on the outside of her feet," said one victim's mother, Lainie Carswell.

The motive for the attacks is not clear. In return for the guilty plea, the charges were reduced to misdemeanors.

Hench could get up to eight years in prison, but it's likely she'll be placed on probation.
