Fillmore traffic stop spirals to drug arrest

FILLMORE, Calif. The City of Fillmore Gang Unit was trying to pull over a Nissan pickup truck for a vehicle code violation Friday night near 924 Sespe Ave., when the driver refused to pull over.

The driver, later identified as 39-year-old Angel Lincon, blew through the intersection of Sespe Avenue and B Street going eastbound.

When Lincon reached Old Telegraph Road, he threw some items out of the car, later found to be methamphetamine.

The suspect finally came to a stop at the parking lot of a taco restaurant. Detectives found Lincon was in possession of a concealed fixed-blade knife.

Lincon was arrested for possession of a deadly weapon, destroying or concealing evidence, transportation and possession of a controlled substance, evading a peace officer, reckless driving and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
