"Here we have Billy Joel, who is one of the greatest songwriters of all time and we kind of tell the nativity story through the eyes of that pop culture," said Christine Lakin, who is staring in the production.
Watching over Burbank's Falcon Theatre is its owner Garry Marshall, who's had the Troubies for 10 years now.
"They always do a good show and they're endlessly funny," Marshall said. "They play with the audience,"
"The First Joel" is at the Falcon Theatre through Jan. 16.
