Limbaugh mocks Chinese president; Over the line?

During his nationally syndicated program Wednesday, Rush Limbaugh was discussing the American visit of Chinese president Hu Jintao. Limbaugh was lamenting the fact that Fox News did not provide an English translator when Hu made his remarks.

Limbaugh then went on to say, "Hu Jintao -- He was speaking and they weren't translating. They normally translate every couple of words. Hu Jintao was just going ching chong, ching chong cha." That was followed by a 17-second imitation of Jintao.

Chinese Americans, including Representative Judy Chu, the first Chinese American woman elected to Congress, have denounced the mockery. California State Senator Leland Yee has done so as well, and believes that Limbaugh owes the Chinese community an apology

We contacted Limbaugh's people for a response, but have not heard back.

Question of the Day: Is this racist and offensive or is it satire that the politically correct are blowing out of proportion?
